This project centered on developing a cohesive landscape master plan for a renovated historic American Four-Square home, ensuring the exterior spaces felt as intentional and enduring as the architecture itself. The design carefully bridged historic character and contemporary living, using the home’s proportions, materials, and period details as a guiding framework. New hardscaping elements were introduced to strengthen connections between indoor and outdoor spaces. Metalwork detailing appears in custom front stair railings and artful firewood storage, adding refined, modern accents to the outdoor experience. A key strategy was utilizing trees to establish long-term structure, shade, and ecological value. New planting beds were added throughout the property—including foundation, perimeter, and hardscape-adjacent areas. Together, these elements created an enduring landscape that will continue to grow with our clients and their family.
